CostMyAI tracks 300+ AI models across 45+ providers. This page explains where our pricing data comes from, how often it updates, and what its limitations are.

Always verify before production. Prices shown are estimates based on publicly available information. AI providers change prices without notice. Verify costs directly with official provider pricing pages before making financial decisions.

Update schedule

  • Pricing sync frequency: every 6 hours via OpenRouter API
  • 300+ models tracked across 45+ providers
  • Stale threshold: warnings shown if data is older than 12 hours

Where the data comes from

  • OpenRouter Model Catalog (Official API): Primary source for the majority of models. Aggregates pricing from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, Mistral, DeepSeek, Meta, Cohere, and 45+ other providers. Synced every 6 hours.
  • Official Provider Pricing Pages (Manual verification): High-traffic models cross-referenced against official documentation for OpenAI, Anthropic, Google DeepMind, Mistral AI, and DeepSeek.

Confidence architecture

  • Docs verified: Pricing manually cross-referenced against official provider documentation. Applied to all actively priced models.
  • API verified: Pricing confirmed against official provider API billing responses. Highest trust tier.
  • Feed synced: Pricing sourced via automated OpenRouter API feed. May lag direct provider pages by hours to days.
  • Community: Sourced from community reports or third-party aggregators. Treat as directional estimate.
  • Estimated: Extrapolated with no direct official source. Suitable for rough planning only.
